I have to do a description paper on a mechanical pencil, and I've been looking all over the internet trying to find pics/drawings of a mechanical pencil and it's different parts. I have to describe and show a picture of each individual piece of the pencil. Can anyone help me out?

Then you're going to have to invest. Art is not a poor man's passion. You eventually give it up if you're not willing to invest time and materials. I would suggest Caran Dache or Rennaissance oil pastels if you're going to go for oil pastels. They are soft, and buttery not the crumbly trash that is sold cheap. Sometimes the cheapest purchase is the most expensive ticket item, because they last, give you good results the first time, and don't require too many corrections that can add up the costs of doing your art. Good luck. I've been at it for 20 years, am not known yet, and darn if I have yet to give up...But always I have been willing to invest. Quality of materials, shows and enhances the quality of your work.
