depends on what stage of your life you're in. If you are a young child then no, as a child needs to feel nurtured and not vulnerable. If you are a young adult but do not have any family to love you or a partner then yes, I like you could survive and try and love yourself and have friends to care for you instead. But yes maybe it would be more of an existance than living

Yes, as a young child , all you need when growing up is trust. You need to ahve trust in whoever is caring for you. This bond not necessarily has to develop into love. We can grow older with trust and loyalty, love doesnt have to be part of our lives. its just our want and drive to BE loved that effects how we see it. Now we're perceiving love as a necessity.....

ALL the atoms of the Universe are bound to each other because of love. Love is attraction. Attraction.. love is the primary element that binds everything together.
We were created because of love we were born because of love and nothing would exist without love.

I think the phrase "better to have loved and lost" is the worst ever. I would rather have never known what it felt like than go through the pain of losing it.

NO. I think if you somehow figured out a way not to love anything (even yourself) you would rapidly deteriorate "die" and return to the nonphysical where you are immediately filled up again and then you make your decision of 'what sounds fun next'.
Loving yourself is always an option and then you put out good energy and draw more of it to you - in other things and other people. Nothing is unfair.
It's called the Law of Attraction.
Good Luck.

Hermits, yogis, priests etc all live without love. Love from other humans in the sense of relationships anyway.

It could be possible. However the person's mental state would change depending on some conciderations. If the kid is never exposed to love, or any other emotions, he would be a well balanced human "machine."
If he was exposed to all emotions except love, he would be pretty normal.
If he was exposed to all emotions BUT would never be loved, he would kill himself.

I believe that there are only two ways to live our lives. One of love or one of fear. Courage is the child of love. There is no fear in real love. Love liberates us, empowers us with positive, enthusiasm for life instead of defending our limitations. "Fear knocked at the door, love answered....there was nobody there".

no. there have actually been studies done on children/babies in orphanages. and the ones that didnt get touched and talked to on a regular basis never learned to socialize and usually ended up very sick or even dying. love and human contact are both necessary to live.
