Evolution is a theory. The principles of evolution are at work at all times regardless of anything being "broken" or not.

Evolution doesn't fix anything that isn't broken?!? It uses natural selection to make a "more fit" creature. "Broken" is over-simplifying nature. Theres more then one variable...in fact there are probably billions.

Gravity doesn't fix anything either. Or Quantum Mechanics, or Relativity. That doesn't mean they aren't true. Some things just aren't there to serve mankind - really kinda self-centered and conceited to think it would.
