as long as your doctor says you are ok your fine. yu only avergae are suppose to gain 25lbs in yourpregnancy. and if its your first ergnancy you dont show as fast as if it was your second. i wasnt big at all but i had a 6lbs 13.4 oz baby and not alot of amniotic fluids. depends on where te baby emplants itself to the uterus wall

First off is she smaller then a double 0 because of genes or because she doesnt eat? At this point any food will do, because if shes not eating enough it could hurt her baby. Just make sure she doesnt go to mcdonalds every day to plumpen up a little bit, that too is unhealthy for her and her baby.

I think that your friend will naturally put on weight as the baby grows. I am a size 0 and I weighed 44kgs I am now 8 months and 1 week, and my weight has jumped to 52kgs. But it shouldn't be a problem if the baby is healthy. The most that you can do for your friend is ensure that she gets good healthy food. I have discovered, that snacking on dried apricots and dried fruit is a good benefit when you get hungry, and if your friend likes sardines, they are really good as well.

it does not matter about her size as long as she is healthy. her body will do the natural thing. my sister was 5'9 and weighed 110 before she got preggers and that's little and she did wonderful she was a 0. it really doesn't matter unless she's this way because of an eating disorder. all she needs is the right food and vitamins. if she is underweight then the docs may advise her to gain abotu 10 more lbs

has she not been to the DR? The Dr should be the one helping her. Maybe you could go to an appt with her and stress your concern for your friend. I know a girl though she was that same size. She looked like a 10 yr old girl TINY. She has 2 healthy babies. And she is fine and btw she is only 19.

Dont be silly, she will be ok. Dwarfs (midgets, little people) give birth all the time, If they can can give birth to babies im certain your friend or other skinny women will have no problem. If there are any issues im certain her doctor will address them with her.
No offense, but women worry too much at times.

Her mom had complications and died because she had cancer, that has nothing to do with her size.
As long as she's eating and not losing weight, she, and the baby, will be fine.
Some women are just small. Encourage her to take her prenatal.

she needs to take her vitamin, eat fruits and veggies, and eat protein foods, and make regular doctor visits.but just because she is so tiny doesn't mean she won't have a healthy baby.good luck to her, and good job being a good friend.
