In the UK...

No they don't have to pay you but they do need to give you the time off to attend hospital and dentist appointments.

It's in their best interests that you are healthy and fit enough to do your job.

The only time you would get paid leave is for maternity appointments.

No You dont have to pay employees for time off to attend doctors/dentist appointments. Would be best practice and good for morale if you did. Either way I would introduce a policy thats states wether or not it is paid. Would also encourage where possible for people to arrange appointments outside of working hours. If you need any help with a policy drop me a line shaun@sdhinternet.co.uk

In a smaller place there could be a quick contract, or maybe no longer something and no point out of how scientific institution appointments are dealt with. it ought to have been a mistake to think of the corporate might provide you this wreck day "unfastened". Did you no longer ask others what generally happens? it rather is interior the regulation so which you would be able to have flow to scientific institution on your individual time. you apart from mght could properly known what's going to ensue in case you have the operation and are off for a on a similar time as to get well- you're able to basically get statutory unwell pay, and be in for a ask your self.

Is this even a question? Are you so cold hearted and cheap that you would not provide a paid sick day for someone to go to the hospital?

Why is it so hard for businesses to actually care about their employees? Without those employees the businesses would not make the money that the top executives so greedily pocket. Without those employees the businesses would not even exist.
