I think it's a pretty and unique name. I have a unique first name, too.

Jaleesa
Jalisa
Jelisa
Jalysa
J'Lyssa

I like it. I seen someone suggest it on here spelling it Jillisa. It sounds a little bit different (Jill Lisa), but I was just thinking Jalisa sounded pretty. I wouldn't know any other way to spell it, but it's a pretty name.

It reminds me of that girl on "A Different World" I think was the name of that show, with the girl from the Cosby show when she was going to college, and then kind of fell off that show.
Couldn't you just spell it Jalisa if you don't like the ' ?

Why not use a nickname for yourself so everyone could easily pronounce your name easier? It works for most people out there.
