Hey, you got a promotion 'Congratulations'...... You the laziest swine I know, you just play on Y/A all day, what is the secret to your success...

When hard working people are promoted, it's hard to replace them at their old position. Hard workers are extremely important to a company--and they're a lot easier to supervise. The lazy ones are very difficult to supervise--the company loses productivity. (That's sarcasm, but it's probably true at some places)

Honestly, you need to be sure you're boss is happy with you and likes you--earn trust & respect for each other (good rapport); and if you don't feel that way try too anyway--that's professionalism. You don't have to brown nose, just listen and show respect. You may even feel inclined to be the one to set the examble in professionalism.

I don't agree that the laziest people are promoted. I believe the a** kissing people and sneaky, backstabbers are the ones who are promoted.

Because those at the top are lazy themselves and can see the potential of the lazy ones they promote, they should have a little clique and call it Lazy Pigs are Us, its unfair and down right selfish but it seems to be the same in all companies these days.

It's the Peter Principle at work - mediocrity rises to the top. Lazy workers who always manage to look busy when the boss is around and are constantly kissing the boss' butt are far more likely to get promoted than hard workers who aren't submissive *** kissers.

It has been my experience that if you do your job,and do it well, management will let you remain there for fear of someone less capable trying to do it.I know it sounds absurd but in most companies those that cant or wont work are made supervisors,if you cant get any work out of them, you might as well promote them and get somebody that will work.

I was promoted because of ability and the willingness to speak my mind and openly disagree with my boss when I have a difference of opinion. We respect each other. I am treated well, and in return, I treat him well.

The people you refer to are the manipulaters. They have no substance to their selves so they look for someone in higher rank to make them feel superior to themselves and others. It would be great if they all were sequestered together and were forced to work with their own kind. They deserve each other.

Probably cuz they perfected the art of looking like they're extremely busy, while doing nothing at all.
