Hi, folks. Just asking becuase I live in Thailand where the standards for fashion are a bit, um, different than the US and Europe. I'm still getting my nails done black, but generally try to follow what's being done in the US. Is this till ok?

Chanel do one called 'Rouge Noir' so black/red. Its actually a really deep burgundy colour and is gorgeous. I have it and its lovely, im a bit olive skinned and suits my skin colour lovely.
AND it was featured in glamour magazine this week so is definately one of the 'trend' colours.

Black is Goth I think for the most part. But be yourself! What I have seen that is really cute is the french manicure done with black instead of white. Or a FM with the white but with a black line under it too. Just an idea...

many colors that are almost black are being worn like crazy on television right now but black is too far. Try a deep red, blue or brown, even a deep purple if you want to be stylish.

yep it's still okay in my book but the only thing is black is considered the color of rebel when painted on to your fingers. Black nail polish gives you an edge of punk and rock

It is very fashionable now in the USA, as long as you are not wearing black with black nails.

Not okay. Use a deep rich color but not black. black polish makes your fingers look dirty or hands not clean, in my opinion. Also with your deep rich, brown or burgandy, use a super shiny top coat.

yeah it's pretty much okay....just make sure dat if u choose to ake sure u never wear a full black outfit...cause then you ll look goth.or add colorful colors to the black...

On short nails it looks okay, but on long nails, you'll look like you are a witch/goth.

yeah but i like the black with a red or purple tint...not completely black but almost :)
