7-8 years ago I would choose Shaq, right now I would choose LeBron James.

I could put up a legit argument for D-Wade, but I would only do so if Lebron wasn't on that list. I mean come on, how can you not take LeBron James. The man is a freak of nature. And, he's only 21 years old (D-Wade is 25). Even if you thought D-Wade was the better player of the two, LeBron has 4 years on him. And I personally feel as if LeBron has yet to reach is full potential.

The obvious answer to this question is Lebron James. His skills match anyones on the list without question and he is the youngest player on this list so he is only going to get better. The key to any team building around these players is finding them a good sidekick. If you look at championship teams they all have good sidekicks beside their starts.

Steve Nash. He runs the floor, he's the team's captian, he's the man in charge out there. He's still got a solid 4 years left in his prime. He's a pass first guard, unlike an Iverson or so many guards out there today. He makes others around him better, but yet isn't afriad to take an open shot or if the team isn't playing well start shooting the ball more and attacking the basket. He is considdered one of the best, if not the best point guard in the game but isn't even the highest paid player. His lowerered salary opens up the cap room to get solid players to surround him.

Still to this day I would take Shaq. Yeah hes old and cant give it to you like he used to but I still do not want to look at the opponent and see him in the starting lineup. He will make one of your very good players super stars (penny, kobe, wade). And the rest of your role players good players (d fish, dennis scott, rick fox, nick anderson).

Stevey Nash...Youd have to pick the two time MVP, thats what he does, he builds teams around him. The stat went something like, each of the last 8 years Steve Nash has been the starting point guard for the #1 offense in the league. I mean i know its about more than offense, Nash is a solid defender, and his teammates all seem to follow his lead. Gotta be Nash.

I would build it around Chris Paul. He is a young guard who can see the floor. Surround him with quality bigs, a nice wing player, a deep bench and a championship is garunteed. If you want evidence, look at athe Rookie, Sophmore game. Paul was un-stopable.

I would have to pick kobe bryant just because he makes everyone around him better and he is one of the best at finding the open man, he also is still pretty young (28) and has about 7 prime years left I think

Lebron James...he is still very young and still developing even though he is already a phenomenal player.

Kobe Bryant for sure. I still think he's one of the greatest basketball players ever.
