I guess I can't add much to the previous responses, but I can't resist the opportunity to express my opinion. I think the 3 part episode was way over the top. It could have been done in 1 episode, 2 at the most. I wish I had timed how much of the episode consisted of the shot of Meredith with a tube in her mouth. The characters are becoming caricatures, which is disappointing because they were compelling in the first season. And I'm sick of the sniping over Callie. Izzie is a pain in the rear - surely there must be some other story line for her character. I was surprised when Derek said that Meredith was such a good swimmer. We have never seen them anywhere other than the OR or bed - when did he have time to get to know her so well? Oh well, I'm rambling - just sorry to see a show I enjoyed going downhill. I have mixed feelings about the spin-off. Addison doesn't seem to be such a strong character, and I don't see the actress handling a show on her own, either. But I do not see her with Alex, either. In my opinion, he's not in her league.

I didn't like the entire 3 part episode. I always thought it was lame and too ERish. And the whole "yeah you're right, I tried to kill myself but now I've changed my mind becuase I can't leave my friends" really disgusted me!
About the spinoff - yeah, I heard about it. I'm disappointed in them...apparently they've already been shooting so it is in the works and a sure thing that we'll at least see a pilot. I personally don't think Addison's character is strong enough to head an entire show. The great thing about Grey's is that it is an ensemble cast. There really isn't any one lead character (I know Meredith is supposed to be, but she's really just the narrator). I think they'll push the show, but it won't go very far.

I don't think that it'll be a great idea, at least at this time because Grey's Anatomy is doing a great job with the viewers. A spin-off will take away from Grey's Anatomy's spotlight and I'm not for something called Addison's Anatomy because the title is not original (even for a spin-off) plus I'm not that crazy about Kate Walsh's character on Grey's. A spin-off at this time isn't attractive at all to me.
About Alex, Jane Doe, & Addison I must admit that I'm kind of torn about whether I think that Jane Doe and Alex should get together once she heals up her face and gets better; I think they should allow Jane Doe to change him into a better person. Addison and Alex would be great together because they're alike in the way they treat the opposite sex but I think that they'll end up screwing each other over and Addison will be caught between McSteamy and Alex. I have my own ideas and theories on how these two scenarios will play out but I can't say it all here.

I love the show. I've been hooked on it forever. Last nights episode was different. There's nothing wrong with that. I am not fond of the idea of the spinoff show. I think that they should keep Addison and her and McSteamy should end up together. I don't know about Alex.
My favorite part was when Christina told Meredith that her and Dr. Burke are getting married and she was crying. I could not stop crying. That part and the one where George's dad dies...those were some tough episodes to get through. I had to make my boyfriend pause the tivo so I could stop crying. Cause I couldn't see through the tears!!!!

I think the problem is that it's becoming too soap-opera like. Some of the story lines are just way too over the top. For example the episode last week were Izzie drills a hole into a guy's head while the chief and the plastic surgeon talk her through it over the phone. Why wouldn't one of them just rush over there himself? It wasn't like they were doing anything else more useful. It's those type of generic dramatic effects that make it too melodramatic. Then Meredith being pushed into the water and the little girl not rushing for help so McDreamy can come out all wet and glistening carrying her out in his arms. So generic! Now the parts with Alex struggling with how to handle the families or George not being able to relate to Callie professionally now that they're married, that's a realistic plot line with believable character development. Go with with that and spare us the cheap dramatics.

This morning I listened to a prgram about truth and falses about last nights greys. The ways they handled meridith was realistic the doctor said it is possible for that to happen. Second I think that they need to bring someone in for IZZY so she will get out of george's business. I think addison and alex should get together but eventually addison needs to end up with the plastic surgeon.

I agree that they shouldn't do an Addison spin-off. I don't even know why they would want to. I don't think she makes or breaks Grey's though. I hope they don't have Alex getting all swoony over the pregnant chick. Like you said, it's a little too repetitive. I think its ok for him to be concerned about her, though, and helping her through her trauma. I love the show overall, and I don't have too many complaints. I'm glad Meredith didn't die, but I never really thought she would.

i just absolutely adore greys anatomy, i thought i would die last week if meredith did. i searched high and low on the internet for spoilers and clues and all week at work all i coud do was talk about this coming episode and well, after such a huge "cliff hanger" i felt last nights show was a bit of a let down, i mean it totally centered on dead folks just about, and yes i did just yesterday hear about the spin off, it reminds me of when a sopa opera a long while back had a spin off show, remember when lauren left young and restless and was "just down the way" and she could pop in on the other show occassionally, i too left the show when she did so to speak....i hear the 2 hr test pilot airs in May....but i see where you are headed with the addison thing, while she isnt my favorite, she is the very reason things are as they are, hellooooo! she was married to mcdreamy, i want to see her get passed derek and maybe even get back with mcsteamy, she did tell him 2 mos with no sex, and i bet in 2 mos he is the reason she is gonna wanna leave grace...anyhow, have you checked out the podcasts at abc online, also grey matters and greys anatomy insider has a lot of good news in it.....i think i will give the new show at least 2 hrs to see if it can hold my attention, as greys did, and well all i can say is we will see, it would be nice though if they let the 2 shows interact a lot and we see "our" drs on the spin off show too, but abc doesnt wanna pay them all twice...LOL, anyhow....good luck to ya....

I think that Alex and his patient might hook up. I'm glad that Mer lived to be with Derek and Christina. I agreed with Derek when he yelled at Ellis. I do feel bad for the chief cuz he really loved Elllis. Can't wait til the show starts again. By the way I don't think that the 60 days without sex thing won't last.

i do no longer think of that they might extremely kill her off. interior the top of the final episode, she flatlines and "wakes up" in a room with Denny and the guy from the bomb squad. this is equivalent to a pair different scientific dramas the place the guy has a "close to dying" or "going to the sunshine" journey. they sometimes refer to the ineffective human beings and earnings a sparkling attitude on existence and then awaken. additionally, basically by way of fact she flatlines does no longer mean she is ineffective, it basically skill her heart stopped. They try this on episodes with heart sufferers the place they do surgical operation and the affected person is flatlining and that they wait a 2nd or 2, then the heart kicks in back. the certainty that she spends time with the ineffective human beings can take a at an analogous time as and then while she "is composed of" that's in hassle-free terms some seconds in actual time. The instruct additionally by no skill stated she died, the final factor the govt says is "we are dropping her.", no longer "we've lost her."
