I plan on picking up my motorcycle tomorrow, the high is going to be 64-68 degrees. If I'm traveling at 70 mph, is it really more like 40 degrees?

Regarding BikerNOJ...I haven't ridden in over 7 months, I have a torn ligament on my right fore finger that prevents me from closing my hand...I'm not being a pansy-***, I want to be cautious and make sure I bring the proper attire...and yes, I have proper gear! And in our area, Castaic, Ca...there's a severe weather alert at the moment through tomorrow! And if you're going to make comments like you did, you should be able to receive email to your comments!

You should be just fine with all your gear. Since you are used to warm weather, it will feel chilly. The jacket will take care of that. I'm on the other coast, so I don't monitor your weather. You said there's an alert... if it turns bad, just put it off another day if you can. Good luck, take care of that finger.

What are you, a pansy weekend warrior? Quit complaining! It was 33 degrees when I went to work this morning, and it should warm up to 50 by the afternoon. There is a fine layer of dust all over the road, and there are still patches of gravel EVERYWHERE.

How cold is it? It's really 64 degrees. Wind chill only applies when there is an evaporative effect of the moisture on your skin. Your gloves, boots, jacket and full-face helmet should protect you from wind chill just fine!

You DO have all the gear, don't you?

A 70 MPH wind will usually feel 10 to 15 degrees colder.
So you would definitely be around the 45-50 degree mark

are you talking about Fahrenheit or Celcius ? And is it negative or positive 64 ?
If positive, deg F, yes u r right. U need to consider the windchill factor at 70mph to a good extent so it would be even colder. Wear proper clothes and headgear and a nice nice pair of gloves - u will definitely need it two layers if u can't afford to buy a very nice one.
