People are saying we need a new QB and i agree but what else do you think we need.

FYI: I'm from MI so it's either OAK or DET

The biggest problem was the O-line. They opened no holes for the running game and the QB never had time to set up before he was getting hit. It didn't matter who was back there they would have gotten killed. I to think they need a faster Running back than Jordan. I think that Moss needs to be traded for anything the Raiders can get for him. I would say that Curry and Porter will do fine as starting WRs so that is fine. It would be nice to find a more consistent TE. I like the Def for the most part. I would like to see another DT to add depth. They have 2 solid young linebackers so that is going well. The secondary is young but starting to come into their own. I think if they can get a solid O-line again then every other position will improve. The defense kept them in the game for the first half of games but wore down in the second half because they were on the field too much.
The Raiders will be back!! Long live Raider Nation!!

The Raiders need a lot of work. Their receivers need to come to play this year. They need a new offensive line, or at least one that could stop a high school team from getting to the QB. Last year Aaron Brooks was getting sacked as soon as the ball got in his hands. They hopefully will get their QB answers solved in the draft while in the 1st year whoever the pick won't lead them to the super bowl it should help. With the receiving core they have and a good QB to mix in with Lamont Jordan they shouldn't be too bad on offense if they get a line.On the Defensive side they actually didn't play that bad last year. So I don't think they will make the playoffs this year in the next couple with the ups and downs of NFL teams these days they could be in.

The defense is pretty much set although they could use some additional linebackers and replace some of the aging defensive linemen. As for the Offense, they need just about every position except maybe running back. They need a new offensive line, new qb, and if they trade away both moss and porter than they are gonna need receivers as well. I would say even if everything goes right in terms of draft picks and stuff, they are still at least 3 years away from being competitive enough to get to the playoffs.

I am not trying to hate on the Raiders but you guys are in trouble. At least you have a good secondary and I think Huff will be a star soon. First off a QB is a MUST. Secondly Lamont is so overrrated at RB its ridiculous. Moss is not a team player so you need a veteren WR that will help mentor the younger Wideouts and the answer isnt Porter. Gallery is overrated. Basically a whole new offense, 1 more LB, and 2 more defensive ends.

It will take more than the draft. There are many problems to overcome.First of all, they are in Oakland which cannot generate the revenue other metros do especially with San Francisco so close. Second, they have a horrible stadium which is another revenue problem. Third, Al Davis is senile. Fourth, no one in their right mind will coach this team so you will get college assistant coaches for the job. Fifth, free agents won't go there. Sixth, the average age of the team has got to be in the 30's. Seventh, they play in a really difficult division.

So, when either Al Davis dies or he sells the team, they move to a large city, get a new stadium, hire a quality coach, cut all their has beens, sign some new playmakers, the Chargers, Chiefs, and Broncos begin to suck, they might make the playoffs.

In my opinion, there are two things that the Raiders MUST do before they start coming NEAR the playoffs:

1. Find a quality runningback. LaMont Jordan, Justin Fargas, and DeJuan Green shouldn't even be in the LEAGUE! I think they should draft Adrian Peterson with the first overall pick. He's going to be a stud in this league for years.
2. Completely overhaul the offensive line. The only DECENT blockers down there are Robert Gallery and Jake Grove, and Gallery will NEVER be the great tackle that he was projected to be.

I believe that if they do those two things, they will be in position to make a playoff push. I'd sign a QB like Matt Shaub or David Gerrard so that way Aaron Brooks and Andrew Walter have competition, but I WOULDN'T draft JaMarcus Russell or Brady Quinn! Brooks and Walter are talented, they just need a shot to prove themselves, and I don't believe that they've been given that!

Otherwise, they are set! Randy Moss, Jerry Porter, and Ronald Curry will form a dominant receiving unit should they stay healthy, their secondary is the best in the league, they have two young linebackers in Kirk Morrison and Thomas Howard who will be consistent Pro-Bowl performers, Derrick Burgess is an amazing pass rusher, and their special teams are spectacular with kicker Sebastine Janikowski and return man Chris Carr.

There is hope for Raider Nation!

They need a lot of help with their entire offensive line as well. They were aweful last year. Did you see the game they played in Dec. against KC? The young QB was running for his life the entire game and KC wasn't even blitzing him. The Raiders O-line just couldn't slow down their D-line at all. It was a disaster! They have to do something to plug those wholes before the season starts to have any chance of getting back into the playoff hunt. Their defense is solid, but they could add some depth in a few places there as well.

HOPES AND PRAYERS. Well, now that Aaron Brooks is no longer employed, Oakland NEEDS a QB. Also, an offensive line would help a lot. I wonder if they've considered trading the cry-baby Randy Moss for a couple of draft picks. Because they need more than just a couple of new faces.

JaMarcus Russell for one. Two, I think they need to make a couple of improvements on defense. They need help in the secondary, maybe a linebacker would also help. My buddy and I are big Raiders fans and are just dumbfounded at what Art Shell did this past season. Hope next season is a little better.

Well get Garcia, you need an experienced QB and he may not be the best but he is probably the best available. I'm not sure about the WRs because you need a good QB to prove that the recievers are, or could be, good.
