Well to tell for sure you would have to have an ultrasound. I'm sixteen weeks pregnant with my second child and my husband and I are having fun with the myths of seeing what sex it is and who has it right. There are several myths out there but they might not always be true. If you are carrying high than it's a girl if low it's a boy. If it's shaped like a basketball it a girl if it's shaped like a football it is a boy. They also say with a girl you carry our front and with a boy you spread out in the hips. It the heart beat is over 150 than it's a girl below it a boy. You can also do the Chinese Calendar and this you will enter in your age and also what month you conceived and it will give you a guess. I do have to say all the myths were right on with my first pregnancy. Her heart rate was 150-160 and it was in the shape of a basketball and I carried high and it was a beautiful little girl who is now three.

The baby's sex is determined from conception but have an ultrasound done during your 20- 22nd week and it will tell you if you are having a boy or a girl

Take the old wives tales tests:

Kind of fun.

For the true, 100% answer, wait until the baby is delivered. Sometimes those ultrasounds miss things or your baby twists and turns, like my friend who had to spend day one of his child's life repainting his baby's bedroom from pink to blue because the ultrasound was wrong.

:-)

Usually a scan can tell you the sex of the baby, but only from the 22nd week onwward. There is little chance to know before as the foetus is too small and is still building its body. However, the baby's sex is determined from conception.
