I have tried everywhere, especially the larger apartment complexes, they are a lot pickier than most because the rent is a lot higher. It has come to the point where I am desperate and losing heart very fast.

most of them say that its because they are scared of when the baby is going to be born and what will happen to me and that they don't know how to deliver a baby.

Unfortunately, if you live "down South" I can tell you that older landlords frown at this. Trust me, I've seen it happen and it's not fair. If you live in the "bible belt" it's difficult to rent while being a single parent or while single and pregnant. You have to look around and find a landlord who is not judgemental.

Try looking near a larger city area or in a large apartment complex in your area where they are likely to be less picky. It's really illegal as they said to discriminate but unfortunately some people do. And God bless you and good luck with your new baby that is coming! I wish you all of the best, Please let us know if you find a place!

They absolutely cannot discriminate against you for being pregnant...that's like telling someone they can't rent because they are in a wheelchair or are a certain race...

It's called Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity...read up on the Fair Housing Act and give them a call for advice!

Next time a landlord doesn't want to let you rent bring up the issue of the Fair Housing Law...they might realize you know your stuff about the federal laws and realize that they can't get away with discriminating!

How lengthy has the position of abode been vacant? that is the large element in even if he will evaluate dropping the employ. If its been sitting, decrease employ is extra appropriate than no employ. If no longer, then you could good deal.

I don't see why this would be an issue, if you are able to pay your rent and pass the credit check (if they do a credit check) you shouldn't have any issues
