I've always liked power windows. Something happened to the driver side window of my 1997 Saturn, it fell off the track or something. Should I take this opportunity to convert the windows to power windows? How much does this cost? Is it worth it?

It would cost more than the car is worth.
Each motor is approx $175 and the driver's window would be around $400 in parts. Add about 8 hours of labour and you'd be looking at $1800-$2000.
A good way to calculate any cost on a car is to look at what the option is on a new car and then multiply that by 3 times the amount.

It would cost two to three times what it originally cost as an option when the car was new...you have mechanical problems if the window isn't tracking right, spend a little money to get that repaired. Then next time you buy a car, you can shop for one that was "built" with power windows.

But remember! Repairs on power windows run twice as much as on manual windows.

I know this doesn't answer the question and this is really old but I had a 1999 Saturn and the same thing happened to both my front windows lol

You could not afford it. It is not just a matter of putting the new mechanisms in each door but you will have to run electric harnesses to each door as well. I cannot see anyone doing it for less than thousands of dollars. Twice as much if it is a four door.

it could be done just very costly.you can get all the parts from the dealer and either you or someone can install them. or you can try a aftermarket kit may not look as nice as from the factory but would get the job done. Also might be cheaper if you could find some used wrecked doors with power and just switch out all you need.good luck
