having lived 45 years without a firearm, i have to say i've never once felt unsafe without one. i have been very startled to walk into my sis's house and see the rifles her swat team hubby set up in the living room.

if the system fails, i believe i'll get a firearm. been playing call of duty 2 and my kids can still destroy me in this game - but my dh can't and i'm apparently quite the rifle mom. or maybe we'll return to the land of our forebearers.

I have never lived without a firearm (family had some when I was a child) and would never give mine up. How long does it take for the police to respond to a call of distress. Crime rates go down when concealed carry is legalized (with mandatory background checks, classes, testing and licenses). I would like the communities who make firearms illegal have everyone who believes that this is the answer put a sign in their window that says "there are no firearms on these premises"..

If you live in the U.S. not having a firearm is a dangerous and naive game to be playing. Hopefully your luck will remain strong.
