Liberals don't need their talking points spoon fed to them. So of course no one watches his crappy show. ( Olbermann not O'Reilly). Plus I dont know if you realize this but alot of the left wing talk show people whine alot. That is really annoying to watch.

Olbermann does not have a history of blatant misstatements, hubris and refusal to set the record straight when he screws up.
Does he go after O'Reilly for the stupid things he says? Yes - his show is commentary on the state of the news. He is a political and media commentator, that is his job. Does he claim to be some sort of "culture warrior" with the power and reach to change the earth? No.
Has Olbermann ever been dumped as a speaker at a fundraiser for exploited children because he claimed a kid who was kidnapped and sodomized dozens of times over a several year period "liked" his situation and was having "fun?" No.
Has Olbermann ever tried to blame Nazi war atrocities from WWII on US troops, then yelled at and lectured a retired US general when he tried to correct him? No.
Is he a massive hypocrite, like O'Reilly? No.
Is the average age of Olbermann's viewers the much coveted 71 year old demographic? No.
Clearly, they are not equivalent personalities.
As far as ratings, a couple of points. Olbermann hasn't had the opportunity to build an audience like O'Relly has. However, Olbermann's ratings are up 85% over the past year, and O'Reilly's (and Fox's in general) are in freefall. Then again, given the age of his average viewer, maybe they're just dying off.
Edit: Oh, and roysbigtoys, regarding your well-informed post - Olbermann just signed a fat four year extension with MSNBC, and is being added as a regular commentator for the NBC nightly news (with many times the viewers of O'Reilly's show) so he'll be around for a while.

Uh, they are the two being paid to offer their comments ands habit interviews. you are able to call it blowhard if it makes you sense extra effectual. If Olbermann claims to be maximum well known in scores he's mendacity. O Reilly beats him by potential of double figures.

Bill O'Reilly takes the opportunity to insult his guest or those who oppose his right wing views. He not attacks NBC as being liberal wake up Bill Fox News is mouth piece of the Bush and so far to right they believe the world is flat.
I admire Oldermann for taking on Bush this is still a free country and we do have the right to criticize and oppose the polices of Bush and company.

Very similar. Olbermann has a Liberal bias, and O'Reilly has a Conservative bias. Olbermann however, has more credibility. Sometimes, O'Reilly outright lies.
