You've been hit by a virus!

Please download and install the Yahoo Toolbar that comesa with the Pop Blocker and Anti-Spy. You can get it at http://toolbar.yahoo.com/

You might want to change your Anti-Virus Protection to Avast, free of cost Home Users' Edition which you can download and install from http://avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html and yopu can also select the skin of your choice from http://avast.com/eng/skins.html where they have a great selction for you to choose from!

http://iobit.com/ will get you Advanced Windows Care Personal, which is absolutely free and is compatible with Avast and Yahoo Toolbar, which will [a] innoculate your system from spyware and malware, [b] fix registry issues, [c] clean up junk and more!

With these three in place, you shouldn't be having any more problems, at all !

All the best!

Cheers!

Hmm my vista laptop freezes while i'm taking part in video games on it yet infrequently while i'm basically doing regular stuff on it. Ask a IT guy or touch microsft or apple or ask an apple/microsoft guy at a bestbuy or destiny shop or something like that. Probaley an IT guy that works with macs and computers in view that some hate the different variety!

It's a virus I had a while ago. I reinstalled windows and reformatted the HD, but you might not have to do that.

Once I started to use FireFox, nothing like that ever happened

You need to have some type of a pop-up blocker installed to your computer. Also You should have a adaware or spyware program to keep from getting viruses. You can go to downloads.com and they have all kinds of them.

Good Luck!

Sounds like spyware. Download a reputable spyware scanner like Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/), run all of the updates to it, and scan away.

It's probably a virus. Either that or there is a shortcut to IE on your keyboard or something, and you are accidentally leaning on it.
