i have just moved into a house in Hamilton Road, Wimbledon, SW19 1JG. I assumed that i would be able to park outside the house but the landlord (after we moved in) has told me that he actually gave up the right for a residents permit in exchange for planning permission. I now have no place to park my car other than a really expensive commericial car park that i pay daily and just cannot afford now let alone long term. the solicitor says that i have no case.

can someone please give me some good advice?

The landlord may have done a deal but have you tried asking the council anyway?
You could also ask your new neighbours one of them may not have a car and you could get them to apply (for a small fee).

once you've made enquiries with your neighbours and no one is commonplace with whom the vehicle belongs to, then write down the registration form and make of the vehicle and get in touch with the police. The police will make the needed exams on the vehicle. * If the vehicle seems to be stolen then the police will attend on the scene and both recuperate the vehicle or tell the owner of the vehicle to remove it. * If the vehicle isn't stolen, yet has valid tax and insurance then regrettably there is not any longer some thing which will be performed as a very criminal vehicle can park on any highway at any time (regulations allowing). * If the vehicle does no longer have tax and/or insurance then the police will contact the community authority who will remove the vehicle, circumstances will variety in the course of the country yet will variety from interior 24 hours to 7 days.

sell your car, save cash and use the bus,the options on parking in Wimbledon come at a premium,so if you can afford it,fine ,but if you are a working class then don't bother owning a car in London, sell it and bus it

How far away from your house is Wimbledon Common but you would have the Wombles on your back then.

Couldn't you contact your local council to find out if there are any parking spaces or garages available?
