Perhaps she doesn't like you in that way? Why should she agree to a date with someone who she doesn't have feelings for? People do have the option of saying "no" when someone asks them out, you know; regardless of whether they're single or not. It's not mandatory to say "yes" just so the person asking doesn't get a bruised ego.

No really the woman probably just wanted to talk about it -in other words she didnt want you to fix it for her -she wanted to talk about it!!! A man's first reaction is to fix things that women really want to talk about not necessarily for the man to fix it.
