The cars share most of their mechanical and electrical items, and the underbody structure, but the cosmetic parts of the body are different.

You may find that the hinges are in the same places, so it is possible to fit a Senator bonnet onto a Carlton hinge, but the leading edge of the bonnet is a different shape so it won't fit correctly against the lamps, grille, bumper and wings.
