My friends say he said that he would rather sit with me than other girls,he sometimes looks at me and always tries to make me laugh and smile and he is always trying to get my attention how can i tell if he likes me?

just go to him and ask him, I'm sure he does from the things you have told us,don't listen to your friends as some times they have it all wrong, just try and get him on his own and ask him to go to the pictures or something, if he says yes you know he likes you and when you go out you can talk more on your own. but if he says no then you just say OK and walk away his loss...

yeah, i think he does.
he just sounds very....'unuse' to relationships-its all down to whether one of you can 'bite the bullet', so to speak.
i dont know if you are already, but maybe try giving a little back-dont put all your eggs in one basket, which is hard not to do, i know, just inch a little bit closer.
