Some people say he would rather sit with me than other girls,he sometimes looks at me and always tries to make me laugh and smile and he is always trying to get my attention how can i tell if he likes me?

you should let this guy know how you feel....and if he turns you down he was never worth it....but usually when all that happens you hear he wants to sit with you and stuff he must like you...i've been through it too...
