Contact your local council office straight away. They will be able to help you. You may be entitled to housing benefit & council tax benefit but it depends on your exact situation. You will have to fill in a form with information about your income & any savings you have & provide various documents such as bank statements & your last 5 pay slips for your work. It is fairly straight forward though & better than struggling with your rent & bills.

it depends on a lot of other cicumstances. If you are in the UK and rent your home you might be entitled to Housing benefit. Also contact the council to see if you are entitled to council tax beneifit. If your income is currently below Income Support level it might be worth trying for that ; however if you are on sick leave you should be getting statutory sick pay anyway.

A lot would depend on your circumstances, how much that half pay is and the reason for being on it.

nor sure if you mean social welfare or work benefits if the latter you should have received this information in writing from your human resources manager when you started on half pay. ask them, and make sure it's in writing including amounts, percentages, entitlements etc. if you mean social welfare I'm not sure sorry!
