Do I have to make a choice between the meaning of life and happiness? How can I stay happy perpetually and not rely on external materialisms ex a good man, great home, luxury bags etc etc to fill in the emptiness that prevails soon after?! How did you find that inner peace?

You are Gods gift to humanity. You were made beautiful. Inside you is the gift. You are the jewel of life itself.
Of what lasting value is is a luxury bag? A car? A great home? They are all worthless and will become nothing.
You on the other hand are the means, the gift, beyond value. The gift that continues to give. The greatest love.

A good man?

Perhaps you have never known a good man. In fact you possibly don`t even know what to look for.

He is the guy that would die for you. He will never lie or cheat or steal from you. He respects and honors you. He will, without sex, get down on his knee and beg... plead for you to take him as your husband.
He will love and protect you and your children from all evil for the rest of your life. Through your children the gift is given again and again.

That is where self worth, peace, and happiness resides.

Glad you asked.

I don't think anyone can stay happy all the time. When we get what we believe is everything we want, there is always something more that we want. The grass is always greener in someone else's life and we will always want what others have.

However to help find inner peace you must slowly start doing away with things in your life that you don't need(extra clothes; fancy food; a big home filled with nice things; a new car; fancy vacations; going to: movies, shows; dances, etc.). While you're slowly getting rid of the unnecessary things in your life, fill your life with doing good deeds for others who are poor or sick. Soon your mind, heart and soul will be filled with the lives and needs of the people you are helping. It's a wonderful feeling and can solve a lot of personal problems.......
