what % of ethanol is safe to put into your gas tank? i know 10% works fine why wouldnt 80% run fine. with gas prices at $ 4.00 a gallon i was thinking of making some ethanol out of corn or grain and some pre compost and bumping up the precentage in my tank. IS THIS SAFE? it works fine in my lawnmower and weed wacker at 70% ethanol and 30% premium gas. this allso could be good for the enviroment low emitions

OK here is the Ethanol lie!
1. Ethanol is OK to 10%
2. E-85 will kill performance and gas milage in your car
3. E-85 actually costs less to manufacture than gas
4. If you put E-85 in your tank on a regular car you will scrub the walls of your older tank of all residue and stuff and also you will prematurely rot untreated fuel lines.
THey price E-85 lower thatn regular gas as they want it on the market.
E-85 is super for racing as it is better for the environment and heck who cares about losing milage it can be formulated to produce more power....
E-85 Is highly refined and what you are wanting to do will cause you more headaches than helps.
