From an evolutionary perspective you must have sex to procreate and have children with a partner, thereby contributing to the population gene pool and contributing to diversity in the species.

So, for example if you did not have reproductive "FITNESS" and could not produce viable gametes for reproduction your unique allelles may not be passed on for further generations. And a broad issue with reproduction or the relative fitness in a gene pool for a population or species could lead to extinction

Well, sexual intercourse has some benefits. for men, it will sustain their sexual drive and stimulate the production of testosterone which is their sex hormone. For women, when having sex, the males excrete prostaglandin into the females. This prostaglandin stimulates uterine contraction during pregnancy.
