This isn't a well known film - but check out "The cook, The theif, His wife, and Her Lover". It's a british film - rather strange - but for each room that the movie takes place a different color of lighting is used. For example, scenes in the restaurant are in done in red light and scenes in the restaurants bathroom are in bright white light and the scenes in the kitchen of the restaurant are in green. The ending of the movie is pretty cool.

The basic plot line is this baby is born at the same moment as lightning strikes the house, either causing or the result of (the movie doesn't clearly tell which) the baby becoming a "pure energy" being. It's an albino who is removed from society for much of his life, and when he does enter society in high school he can't fit in. He falls in love with a girl, gets picked on by the jocks, and in the end ***spoiler alert*** vanishes in a bolt of lightning, the same way he entered the world. He also had some strange powers like being a human

Alfred Hitchcock's "Rebecca" filmed in B/W. Lighting set the mood for many of the scenes in the big ol' house. And in the end when things were resolved the big heavy drapes were pulled back to let in the light and show that all was well and good in the end.

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is known for use of lighting, as well as camera angles. The movie was made in black and white and that enhanced the spookiness of the lighting techniques! One of the best films made in my opinion as far as camera & lighting go's.
