I was driving home from the gym yesterday and it hit me. Creation of the Universe. Imagine totally completely nothing. Absolutely nothing.
The Big Bang wouldn't have happened if there was nothing.

There just had to be something. I'v eheard about the theory of their being slightly more matter than anti-matter. However, if there was completely nothing in the first instance then this disproves this theory. Unless their are an infinitive number of dimensions that exist. A fine balance of matter in each dimension. New dimensions being created.

Therefore my theory is that the Universe was never created. It was the result of an overspill of matter from another dimension that could be contained no longer. I think the Universe could not have been created and that it can never be destroyed. Like the infiniteness of a circles perimeter.

I am convinced that out there somewhere far beyond, there is an exact mirror image of me doing exactly what I'm doing now.....

You've got it all mixed up:

first of all, big bang does not say that something came out of nothing. the universe was already there, just in a singularity with infinite density. the "bang" was simply the expansion of the space time itself. and that theory about there being slightly more matter than antimatter, is also a part of the big bang theory to explain the nature of matter dominated universe (ours at least). also, the extra dimension stuff your talking about is already being explored (mathematically, and soon physically) by string theorists.

and a circle's perimeter is 2pieR

Your theory proposes something that doesn't exist based on current models, which is a "before" the beginning of time. You cannot have a "before" the beginning, there is only "after" the beginning based on the model. Therefore, the closer you get to the moment of the beginning, the more undefined what's going on is, and at the exact instant that time began by our model, the universe is completely undefined. You can't go back further than that based on any model we have.

There is a very interesting book by C.S. Lewis called The Dark Tower. You can probably get it on amazon. read it and you will see what i mean. While you're at it, Mere Christianity by the same man will set you clear on the subject of Creation with pure logic.

I am sure I have never though those thoughts but I am sure we have both had the thought what is for dinner, what was that noise, i am hungry, i am thirsty. Basic stuff like that i think everyone shares those thoughts (probably not at the same time though)

It's funny but I have thought about this. It seems the more I think the less I know and the more I try to understand the more questions I have. I wonder what the truth is??

YES, I have thought the same thing. And at times I will spend an entire day thinking of this stuff going back and forth. It makes you wonder doesn't it?
