The Celeron, since it is newer and set to a higher speed.

The Bus speed on the Pentium III is probably only 100MB. The Celeron might be on a faster 166 FBS or faster speed. That motherboard would be much better than the old Pentium III.

But both need 512MB of RAM or more to run faster. Check the specs on the RAM for these two computers and you will see which is faster as a system: Look up the model at http://www.coastmemory.com

Good luck and Happy Computing

Of course the 3.3Ghz Celeron. First of all 3.3Ghz is greater than 500Mhz. Granted a higher clock speed doesn't usually mean that the processor is faster but with a huge difference like that, then the answer is obvious. Also, the Celeron's FSB is around 533 MHz which is way faster compared to the Pentium 3's 100 Mhz. The FSB and the architecture determines what RAM they use and a DDR rated at a higher clock makes a huge difference over an SDR at a lower clock. The only problem with Celeron was the low cache but the Pentium 3 has lower cache than the Celerons now.

Ok obiously a 9.3 GHz is a lot faster 3.3 means 3300 MHz what is greater of course 3000 is greater than 500 =)

Good Luck

AMD Athlon 3200+ :)
Sorry I just had to. Cause I don't think you're serious about this question, and you must be pissed off that sh*t that Intel sells by the name of Celeron.
