It is easier for a Running Back to be Rookie of the Year....
History shows this...(look it up if you have time)
I think Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech, is one of the best receivers I've EVER seen in college football (other than Larry Fitzgerald)...He was a Man playing with little boys on the Field. He has the total package. Johnson has a rare combination of size (6-4, 235), speed (4.37), strength, leaping ability (47.5" vertical), body control, and hand-eye coordination. He plays like he's 6-7!.....West Virginia had NO answer for him in the Bowl Game.
Mel Kiper had him rated #1 on his Draft Board as soon as he decided to go pro...Most receivers in the past in their rookie year don't make an impact, but I think that CJ is an exception. Any team who passes him up in the Draft is foolish and will regret their decision!

Call it a hunch, but I think Jamaal Anderson may be this season's guy. Odds are he goes to the likes of the Buccaneers and they have a tradition of turning out great defensive linemen...that plus the fact the league hasn't had a great rookie defensive lineman for sometime and its due.

Spotlights seem to be on rookie RBs so the logical choice would be Marshawn Lynch. Mock drafts have him going to the Texans who may be handing off frequently due to a new QB running the offense.

I'm going with defense and picking Florida's Reggie Nelson. He's possibly the best DB in the draft and led the Gator's defense to a national title. He's an athletic freak and will be a very good player wherever he ends up.

I like Ted Ginn to have a big year if drafed by the Vikings. He obvioulsy can have an impact on the return game (Hester this year) and the Vikings have absolutely no wide recievers so he can step in and contribute right away.

Anthony Gonzalez. He will be overshadowed by the big names; Russel, Quinn, Ginn, Peterson, Johnson, etc., but will excel faster at the next level due to his legs (4.3), hands and brains. This generation's Steve Largent, but with speed and a better haircut.
