Well, it's a George Harrison song, but it's still qualifies. "Here Comes the Sun."

Back when I was a lot younger (around six or seven) my mom noticed that I liked that one song, and that I was singing along with Harrison when it would play. My mom was very musical, and had taken voice lessons when she was little, so she saw this as a unique opportunity to teach her son about melody and harmony.

She showed me how to vary my pitch slightly to match Harrison's melody in an audibly pleasing way. Little did I know, I was being taught how to be a vocal accompanist; something that any lead singer will tell you is very hard to become successful at!

My mother's harmony with that song still lives inside my head, and whenever that song comes on, I close my eyes and remember her back then.

And yes, I still harmonize along with George!

Any song from the Meet The Beatles album.
My Mom was crazy about the Beatles and played that record night and day when I was a little kid. [8 DAYS A WEEK]
Dad just rolled his eyes and put up with it. :)
Mom had an "I Love Paul" button, which I have kept to this day. My father's name was Paul.
[parents are both in Heaven]
