Transit through sort facility. what does that mean?

Almost all the courier companies have regional sorting facilities (a very large storehouse), where they receive the packages and sort them according to the final destination. Once sorted the packages are then delivered thru the local delivery agent. Most of the time, it takes a day at the sorting facility.

it means your package is in a facility where it's being sorted to be sent to your part of the country. it should be on a plane/truck by the end of the day
