Yes I would! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I love to write. My mom has her's written and stored on her computer. I also think that it's one less thing that the family has to worry about. It's going to be hard enough already.

No. In my opinion, obituaries should contain only facts, not commentary. I think I can trust someone to list the facts without embellishing. All that is needed is name, date of death, schedule of funeral services, and survivors. How hard can that be?

I wouldn't want to write my own obituary. I would prefer to leave it to people who know me to do that. I would like to believe there are a few people who know me very well and could do it far better than I.

Although the first five books of the Old Testament are attributed to Moses (the Pentateuch as the Christians call it, the Torah for the Jews), many scholars believe that originally there was only one book written called "Book of the Law" & that the Pentateuch was written by Zadokite priests (descendants of Zadok, the first High priest of Solomon's temple in Jerusalem) during the Babylonian captivity in order for the Israelites to preserve their culture. This is still debated today.

An obituary is 'a published announcement of someones death', so it would be impossible to write your own obituary.

No, that is a constant reminder I will die. I just go with the flow and if I die then what happens with an obituary happens.
