apparntly phones on brought on o2 will then take any sim card (e.g vodaphone,orange) is this correct ???

most phones that you put a different chip in are locked out, so i wouldnt try it until i got an answer from O2

you can get a phone "opened to any network" for about a fiver in most cities if you want to change networks
