if the victim was your daughter, sister or wife then how would you like them to be punished. would be so forgiving to let them stay in prison for a 100 years. do you honestly believe they will suffer in prison.... i dont.

This is nothing to do with politics or whether or not a person supports our presence in Iraq.
If it were up to me, such a crime would merit the Death Penalty. It is Not up to me to decide these things, and apparently the US Military system has stricter rules for earning that punishment.
These men will never harm another innocent family, and that is as good as it going to get.
Why is it that are we criticised for having the Death Penalty by people all around the world, and now apparently, we are criticised for Not applying the Death Penalty?

It would seem that no punishment would be too harsh, no matter how extreme it were, but I do not necessarily advocate torture for prisoners. Do you?
I also believe that such individuals DO NOT represent the general manner of the entire military, and suggest that they are criminals who just happen to be in uniform.
Although I believe that they are criminals of opportunity, I do not think that being in uniform is what made them criminals. They are of horrendously low character and committed heinous crimes of opportunity.
It is disgraceful for anyone to do what they did.

Rotting in prison seems to be a real good reward for this crime. You do know that certain States don't impose Capital punishment, and this State is one of them.

My immediate reaction would be to hang him but that would be to quick. When the yanks say 100 years at least he is going to do life. Had he been a Brit,no way would he have got 100years and, he would also be free at some point in his life. Let the B*STARDS suffer.

death would be too easy on him, i think life in prison is the best punishment, especially if people in the prison know what hes done, he will be in for a beating.
