The Bermuda Triangle is in fact a very "busy" part of the Atlantic Ocean. First of all, the Gulf Stream ocean current flows through the Triangle after leaving the Gulf of Mexico; its current of five to six knots may have played a part in a number of disappearances. Although, there are sudden storms that come and go unpredictably! Then you have to consider the fact that the area is one of the most heavily-sailed shipping lanes in the world!!! It is true to say that the Triangle is not any more dangerous than any other area in the Ocean.

How I wish the Bermuda triangle would go away. There is no statistically significant increase in the rate of unfortunate instances per vessel or plane over any other triangle you can draw anywhere else in the world.
So you can pick three arbitrary points draw a triangle, and call in the Guam triangle, there would be nothing special about that one either.

More people die in the Bermuda triangle because it has the highest ammount of international traffic of anywhere on the planet.
It has nothing to do with anything else, maybe nerves come into it somewhere, but that is the only other contributing factor.

Most people sail or fly across the Bermuda triangle and don't die. The area is no more dangerous than other regions.
