Hinjewadi is 15-20 kms from Deccan.
It take @30-35 minutes to travel by a cab.
Cabs are generally operating on contract basis for different BPO's and software companies. But, there are no Cab / taxi on hire, in pune, for local transport. What you can get is auto-rickshaw or PMT (public transport buses)

If you want to go by PMT, you will have to take bus from deccan to hinjewadi. But it has very less frequency. (may be once in an hour) Second option is to take bus from deccan to Dange chowk, and then take 6-seater shared auto to hinjewadi.

The 6-seaters are supposed to take only 6 people but instead they take 10-12 people. So it is not very pleasant mode of transport.

You can even take direct auto from deccan to hinjewadi. But, it is a less preferred option, as they may charge you anything between Rs.120-200

If I am portraying a grey picture, don't worry. It is not that bad. You may find it difficult, when your are new to the city.

Most of the companies in hinjewadi area, offer company bus facility for their employees. They all have regular stop at deccan.
