Memory. I have noticed that most human beings tend to color their memories, change them slightly or not so slightly. Especially I have seen my relatives that I grew up with and was raised by have significantly different versions of what actually happened.
It's not just the whole "different witnesses see different things" type scene. It's like rewriting history.

I will say that I am finding the older I get the longer it takes to retrieve unused memories, like my neural pathways have cobwebs to clear! Yet still I have some memories that are crystal clear, and I have the capability to even re-experience strong emotions from some of them.

I have been told I have the memory of an elephant! Maybe I should be writing them down for my progeny.

memory is amazing. 0-2 years old you dont really have one. 3-12 its vivid. then you remember alot in adult hood. then when your old you might remember nothing.
