PC:
--change your hardware whenever you want, however you want (Mac: you have to wait to buy the next-gen Mac)
--XP is very stable, unlike its predecessors. The Blue Screen of Death is a very rare occurrence now.
--98% of computers in business and home are running Windows. For trouble free exchange of MS documents, go PC. You can edit MS docs on a Mac but there may be trouble when you give your file back to a PC user.

I Like both MACs and PCs for different reasons.
"Mac Zealot", "PC nerd" ?? Kind of bigoted...
A MAC can deal with Media, Video, Printed , E-Books, and all published material better than any PC I have seen. In all the areas I have supported that have Publishing departments, the Workstation of choice for compositing, and a variety of key publishing work, has been the MAC. In the transfer of Video to digital media, the workstations I have seen have always been MACs.
Also, when I have been in the studio in the last 15-20 years, the majority of Gear has been MAC based, the dominant units in the last 10 years has been for the G3 to G5 series. And even the producers I know here have or are moving to, MACs.
In the corporate realm, the MAC users also use PCs for database work, since the PC can be somewhat more easy to configure for all sorts of tasks. The "tinker" factor in the PC make manipulation of the units a lot easier in many respects.

In the last fifteen years, Macs have had features long before PCs. The earliest Macs (think little Classics) had an incredibly easy interface with drag and drop and easy use that was imitated later by Windows.
Macs are also reliable in that they are manufactured by a single company with very high standards. PCs are manufactured by many companies, some of which are not reliable.
As for function, there isn't a lot of difference any more. It's the reliability of the Mac that means it is the only computer that I would order online, sight unseen.

Mac is fast on graphics processing such 3D design, photos and RAW images converting while PC can do graphics but not as fast as Mac on the same specs.
Mac doesn't need antivirus, firewall or any things like that while PC need them and they are really slowing down the performance of PC maybe it's because most PC are using Windows where Windows are really a crap OS.
Lots of Games run on PC (support Windows) while a very little games can run on Mac.
Mac run smooth with less/no crash, PC run smooth too but with lots of crash because of Windows.
PC can be upgraded easily, while Mac aren't.
Mac's mouse contains only one button (now, there's no more button), while PC's mouse contains more than 3 buttons and scroll but on some cases they are rarely used.

the main advantage of mac is the lack of viruses. a mac can not run .exe files. on the other hand there is a lot of software that simply isnt available for mac - just go into a games shop or try to find a good free text editor for the mac.

Oh ... actually now that vista has been launched pretty much the same thing ....
erm, I guess it also really depends on what kind of computer user you are ...macs more design friendly since the os allows you to search at anytime and access programs faster and windows allows you to manipulate files easier ...
oh and there are less viruses formatted for mac ... but there are also more programs formatted for windows...

probable ur evaluating MAC with residing house windows. residing house windows is amazingly userfriendly and has dissimilar techniques for a same job. apart from it rather is less expensive while in comparison with MAC Mac even nonetheless has many advantageous factors that residing house windows won't be able to be in comparison with. with the aid of all means if u can shell out money, Mac is extra ideal than residing house windows.
