If you have no sound at all, then your drivers are not installed or corrupted.

Go to the manufacturers web site for the latest drivers.

Doe's the message say that your sound card may be in use by another device? If so then open control manager cont>alt>del and end any process which is using WMP (windows media player) or your DVD drive. Reboot your computer and it will be back to normal.

You may be missing some codecs. Windows Media Player should update automatically, though.

You could try a different media player such as Winamp.

If you're getting no sounds at all from your PC, it may be to do with your sound card (drivers?), or a cable is unplugged.
