Well..if someone beat him up or was terriozing someone....he would get angry and turn into the Hulk....or if he was shot or someone had kidnapped him and tied him up...he had numerous reasons to turn into the hulk....

David Banner is a southern rapper that had the song, "Like a Pimp." Bruce Banner is a scientist that can turn into the Hulk. So I'm going to say that "the most common cause of David Banner changing into the hulk" is a couple 40s and someone telling him they can't understand a word that he says in his songs (seriously, they had subtitles in the music video so you knew what was going on).

When the TV show was on (70's, 80's?) most of the time that he became angry it was because of injustice done to others - bullies picking on weak people, slumlords evicting people, corporate farmers hiring illegals for next to nothing and treating them like slaves, etc. He very seldom got angry on his own behalf.
