Mulhllooand Drive makes little sense, even for a Lynch fim, but its dreamlike imagery is mesmerizing, and Watts delivers a great performance.

Ok. I hope this sheds some light.

Ok the film is told in reverse order. The film starts at the end and finishes at the beginning. Betty is an aspiring film actress who’s in love with Rita and the beginning of the film actually shows Betty dreaming about her finding Rita in Distress and helping her uncover the truth about her life. But in reality Rita is actually a famous actress who's been seeing Betty (Diane) and dumps her to pursue her film career. Betty wants to be the big actress, and in the dream sequence the bit where she nails her audition is actually her thinking she is the best. Of course she isn't and this is what leads her to suicide at the end of the film and if you watch the beginning of the flick you can actually see for a brief second where she's just killed herself and the dream begins. Also the in the dream where Betty gets it on with Rita this is what she fantasizes about in real life and why she’s so hurt when Rita dumps her. Also the theatre where Betty starts shaking if you listen to the magician fella you hear him saying nothing is what it seems over again, and the blue box of course is a reference to Pandora’s box. Of course this may not be what actually happens as who knows what's happening in the crazy mind of David Lynch!

P.s. Naomi Watts…… Nice bappps!

I Love David Lynch.

He's never afraid to be completely different.

Mullholland Drive is a thinker! Why don't you try watching 'Twin Peaks'?

It's still very lynch but a bit easier - well the first series is anyway!

i disagree. THE FIRST TIME I SAW it i was blown away and confused but it was a great feeling of " i am not sure what that was but i Feel great".
i went to see it again with my sister a couple of month later, the magic was GONE. i don't want to see it again as i know it was meant to be great just one time.
