Just a few days ago Blair and his Government, announced that some of our troops will soon be coming home from Iraq,- well about 1,600 of them. We know they are not being brought home because the job has been completed - it is just another attempted PR excercise by Blair to cover himself and because of the further ongoing problems in Afghanistan! We would be stupid to believe our remaining troops have not been put in further danger by this bad judgment by Blair and his colleagues.
Now guess what? Tony Blair has today announced that an extra 1000 troops are being sent to Afganastan. When will this bent Government realise they cannot keep fooling us ?

When people stop believing what the labour sympathising newspaper groups tell them and vote them out at the next election!

There's a lot of us who aren't fooled and haven't been for a long time - we were also the people who did not vote them in last time around!

Yes i heard that. my hubby is in the army and they have been told this new about afghan before Xmas that they are going. Blair tries to keep everyone happy and say the right things then a few days later bring bad news again. My cousin is in Iraq now and comes home in April for 4 weeks then goes to afghan for 6 months. He has been in Iraq for 9 months when he should have been there for 6 months.
Never believe what they say as they never keep to their word.
Its getting out of hand now with all our troops going out and not have the right equipment.
Good luck to all the lads.

Damage limitation I think but It wont wash. The fewer troops left behind in Iraq the more danger they will be in!I would be a little peeved if I were GB with his mate Blaire.Wouldn't you think that if Basra is going well the troops would be switched to Baggers to help the US there?
I also have to ask how many countries have won a war in Afghanistan?I need reminding why our boys are there.

I am an American. However, I keep in touch with Great Britain because of my last name, Montfort.

In my mind, Tony Blair is a Conservative in Labour clothing. He is a pawn for the Royal family and George W. Bush. Brown is no better.

Great Britain needs to wake up and realise just what is going on.
If you do not want to be fooled, don't be.

They will never realise that they can't keep fooling us, because they inherently believe the people are idiots, and should be treated like children! That's why they go into politics, because they believe they are smart, and we are dumb!
I believe that if someone expresses an intention to run for Prime Minister, he should immediately be deemed unsuitable for the position! Keep in mind that the word 'Politics' is made up of two words, Poly, meaning many, and Tics, meaning small, blood sucking creatures that live on people!

The areas the British cleaned out in Afghanistan are filling up with al Qaeda again. But, the British military is not that small. They don't need to withdraw troops from one place to put troops somewhere else.

I think they're just tucking tail.

So all the problems in Iraq have been solved then, wow & to think I doubted this Government, who I had been lobbying to change the name of the MOD back to the Ministry of War, or even to give it a new name, such as The Ministry of Offence.

I can't imagine there is anyone left in the country who believes anything Blair says. Yet he continues with his lies, to me this suggests utter contempt for the people, or, and I am going to say it, he is stark raving mad. I don't know any legal way they can be got rid of.
