While its only a certain culture thats responsible for terrorism,we are all treated like potential terrorists when travelling by air. Is this fair? I myself have e-mailed the British Airline Authority asking for some common sense to be used,is this something you feel strong about or am i alone here?

No. Airport security is not fair, they will beat down a 80 year old woman and take her purse because there is a fingernail file in it, but they can't say anything to someone that is of a different ethnicity because if they do then it's called profiling.

Why are you talking about fairness? The 9/11 attacks were not caused by people from Sweden or Germany. Most of them were from Saudi Arabia and airport security is using that knowledge to try to screen passengers and prevent future attacks. Fairness doesn't matter...its called logic.

my family and i have been harassed by border patrol in canada and airlines because our last name just happens to be a common first name in the middle east. But, like the saying goes life isn't fair just gotta deal with it.

I'd rather everyone be stripped naked and searched before getting on an airplane(especially with my kids) than to be midflight when a seemingly innocent looking person gets up and blows the plane to pieces.

Unfortunately they can't be fair. I have never been harassed personally, but, I have seen people in line being harassed. They took my lighter and threw it away. That's ok, but my husband had scissors and they let him keep them in his carry on. How did they know he's not a crazed terrorist?

I am for the tightest security possible. Get to the airport a little earlier and don't fret when you stand in line. It will only raise your blood pressure.
