Get a campaign manager.

Get a strategy.

Work your tail off going door to door and event to event.

Get good simple signs.

Get good brochures.

When speaking stay focused.

When meeting anyone smile and be friendly no matter.

But if you have never had an elected post. I suggest you try running for council first.

Your chances of winning are much greater. You can build up a constituency against the incumbent. And winning tends to help win at a higher level. As a councilor you also get to know the insider information so important to have on any campaign.
