Yeah dude, to achieve something like peace we have to look beyond the boundaries of self.
True greatness can't be a singular type of achievement, it takes a magnanimous & widespread effort.
I agree.
But the problem is, this is "Yahoo Answers"
Not - "Yahoo Statements"

Definitely by creating an ambience to dissolve personal priorities to align beyond oneself can bring peace. This is only an idealistic situation . With millions of population in this world with different ideas, culture, outlook, behaviour, etc., one can easily practise and demonstrate himself within his small circle of people and seek peace and leave the rest to others to follow.

Exhorting others is something I often do (both online and with family & friends) but am virtually never on the receiving end of it. But it's not something I go out of my way to do. It's just that my brain is almost constantly "switched on" to being able to see how different Christian teachings and Biblical passages apply to seemingly random situations -- and I feel obliged to express things that have occurred to me that others may have missed, see? I guess that's the Holy Spirit because I wasn't always like that and in fact correcting others is *still* something I'm usually reluctant to do because I don't want to be "the bad guy" and because you can't trust most people not to shoot the messenger.

NO DOUBT.But not easy . Definitely if one can dissolve one's personal GOALS for a GOAL beyond oneself , undoubtedly one will reach the other GOAL--PEACE with a smile which never fades.

Such a state of inner peace could not be achieved without first sacrificing your own humanity and free will.
I'd rather be free in a real world of good and bad, love and hate, than brainwashed in a fairytale world of happiness.

Indeed you have put up the perfect formula..... wonder though who all would be willing to practice... it is not all that simple to forget self and work for a lofty selfless goal... those few who can do that do of course get sublime satisfaction.

Definately,it can bring peace but if peace is at all required then it does not dissolve the personal priorities.

Definitely, there is no doubt about it as long as there is balance that one (country, human being e.g.) doesn't abandon the idea to yeild for self-prosperity either or one will all be left behind.
