All 3 of my labours started differently ... the first indication I had with my first pregnancy was waking early in the morning, going to the toilet and having a "show" - that is the mucous plug breaking away. With that labour my waters stayed intact until I was pushing the baby out and they exploded everywhere (my labour was really fast and the midwife didn't even realise my waters were still intact). Number 2 started with my waters breaking first, also early in the morning as I got out of bed to go to the toilet and they ruptured and kept leaking for a couple of hours before labour actually progressed. With number 3 my first indication was being woken at 3am with mild contractions. My waters broke at about 7.30am while I was on the phone to the midwife and I was standing and felt the baby kinda drop and then a big "whoop" kind of feeling and then it was quick speed to the hospital and she was born less than 2 hours after my waters breaking! All experiences are different so good luck and I hope all goes well for you!
I can say that I do recall just feeling kinda "weird" - sorta spacey and very relaxed just prior and also after my waters broke with the 2nd and 3rd.

My labour consisted entirely of me feeling like I wanted to go to the toilet - and it does for a lot of women.
Don't worry about watching for your waters to break - they may not do at all. Mine had to be broken at the hospital.
Keep an eye on the pains your feeling, if it seems they are becoming more frequent, then contact the midwife. Also, I was sick as I started labour, and I know that can be a sign too.
Try not to worry, just relax (easier said than done). Good luck x

I don't think there's any telling if your waters will break or not. My first broke during early labour contractions. I felt a popping sensation and suddenly warm water was gushing.
Second time they didn't break until i was ready to push. I think there is no way of knowing.
Good luck!

I have had four children and each time my waters had to be broken. So everyone is different. I always used the feeling of pressure down there to guess that things will soon be happening.

With my first infant my water broke before contractions began, and it took me by finished wonder. I had merely been to the health center the evening before via three bleeding, and replaced into advised the bleeding replaced into coming from outdoors of my cervix, likely via lifting something too heavy, and it replaced into no reason for problem. i replaced into 35 weeks, and the newborn replaced into breech so it replaced right into a huge gush of water, like you note contained in the films. With my 0.33 infant, my water broke at the same time as i replaced into watching "infant tale" on TLC - ironic, correct? i replaced into 39 weeks. This time replaced into thoroughly distinct than the first because it replaced into merely an quite small gush and then persevered to leak. I had no longer began contractions at this factor yet both, it replaced into about 10 a.m., and my daughter replaced into born at a million:40 8 p.m. they say it truly is quite uncommon on your water to break before you're in energetic difficult artwork, yet for me it befell 2 out of three situations, so who's prevalent with? in spite of everything, it replaced into thoroughly unpredicted both situations and stuck me by wonder!

well its kinda hard to explain how it feels when your water breaks. I was in the basement talking to my mom when i reached for my coffee and whoosh my water broke i first thought that i had pissed myself but than realized it was my water. My contraction started at about 12 that afternoon and 9hrs later I had a beautiful daughter.
