I am a bisexual woman and I have been married for 7yrs to a wonderful man. Generally we are very happy but he is really not comfortable with me being bisexual. He has known about me being bisexual since the beginning of our relationship. I do admit that I miss being with other women and I wish he was willing to be flexible.

My late wife of 12 years was bisexual. She chose to not have relationships with women. However, this was her choice. I encouraged her to do this because I knew she wanted it. I think it is possible to be married and be bisexual but there has to be a lot of communication. And the marriage has to be solid. Good luck.

Of course it is possible. You have done it for 7 years now, right? You say you are GENERALLY very happy. What exactly does that mean? Perhaps things are not what they could be between the sheets? If your husband wants to continue with a conventional closed style marriage, then he and you need to get busy and freshen things up sexually. You know what I mean don't you? Give it try. You need to let him know your feelings on this.

If that is your philosopy then I am going to tell my husband to be flexible because I miss going with really goodlooking hunks. Just because you are bisexual that doesn't give you carte blanche to be unfaithful, does it? If that is the case then it's OK for me to go and have an affair with anybody who vaguely resembles Johnny Depp because he knew I fancied men with that kind of look before we got married!!!

It is totally possible to be bisexual and married.

What you DO about your preference is the real issue.

You say that he "knows" about your preference. Have you discussed it at length? At any time, has he asked you to give it up for him? Just curious.

I would think that if one marries a person KNOWING that they have a particular sexual preference - whatever it is; it doesn't necessarily have to involve another partner - then one would make allowances for it.

When you took VOWS, this meant that you were to be faithful to your partner regardless of your bisexuality. If you can not be faithful, you should not be in a relationship with either a man or a woman. (particularly not married!!)

Damn shame you married him... I would be quite alright with a wife who was into women... we'd share that interest and it would be great. It's a pain to love women and be married to someone who doesn't understand how women affect you.

I wish you were mine.
