Hey, my friend keeps telling me she's overweight she's in 6'th grade and she is 5'2 or so and she weighs between 120 and 125. I keep telling her she's still growing and it's because of that. Do you think she ways too much?

So far I do not think people read that she is in 6th grade. So please ignore the first answer on the rule of thumb. that is for a adult woman.

She is fine. Keep with what you are saying that she is still growing. And you can let her know from a medical view she needs the liitle bit of fat around the sides of her breast (under her arms a little) and the little extra infront on the tummy and hips. that is good for growth. She will have less stretch marks as she grows taller as a bonus. And it is protective of her organs. As a preteen your more active and need a little extra protection.

Teens also use the fat stored when sick. As long as she eats well and exercises by walking with friends..playing sports tell her not to worry and she is just healthy.

The rule of thumb is - a person five feet tall weighs 100 lbs. Every inch above five ft. give another five lbs. So, ideally your friend's weight should be 110 lbs. No, she doesn't weigh too much. With proper exercise and diet, she can maintain her 125 lbs. weight while she is growing taller.

No she doesn't weigh too much it's about right for her height. you could boost her confidence a lot if you occasionally comment on how nice she looks in certain clothes and how slim she looks.
